Duffield Man to be Sentenced for Federal Drug and Firearm Charge

A Duffield man on supervised release for a previous federal conviction has pleaded guilty to more federal charges.

75-year-old Claude Sloan pleaded guilty to one count of being a previously convicted felon illegally in possession of firearm, one count of manufacturing and possessing with the intent to distribute more than 100 marijuana plants, and one count of distribution of marijuana.

Sloan was on supervised release at the time for an arson conviction. Sloan is scheduled for sentencing at the U.S District Court in Abingdon on November 7th.
