Extra Security Requested At Appalachian College Of Pharmacy

The Appalachian College of Pharmacy in Buchanan County has requested and received extra protection after threats were made against the academic community. Those threats were later proven to be not credible. But school officials requested and received extra protection this week as students return for the start of the Spring Semester. Appalachian College of Pharmacy is not far from the Appalachian School of Law where a shooting in 2006 took the lives of three people.
