Washington County, Virginia: Single-vehicle crash leaves one dead

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened last Friday in Washington County. According to a preliminary report, a truck was traveling on Route 740 when it ran off the right side of the road, over corrected, struck a tree, and overturned.

The driver, Jason W. Blevins, 41, of Saltville, VA was taken to Johnson City Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday. VSP says he was not wearing a seat belt and the crash remains under investigation.
