THP: Pedestrian hit and killed Tuesday morning in Carter County

The THP reports that a pedestrian was killed in a crash in Carter County that happened Tuesday morning. The THP crash report stated that the driver of a pickup truck was traveling northbound on State Route 400 from Lovers Lane. The pedestrian was walking northbound in the southbound lane and then crossed to the northbound lane, walking in front of the vehicle. The pickup then hit the pedestrian, identified as 51-year-old Atenogenes Medel Chavez died at the scene. No charges were filed.
