No students injured in accident involving Elizabethton school bus

The THP reports that no students were injured after a woman ran a red light and crashed into a school bus Monday afternoon in Elizabethton. The crash happened at the intersection of North Lynn Avenue and East Mill Street. No bus occupants were injured. The crash report said a Jeep was traveling south on North Lynn Ave. towards East Mill Street when the driver “did not stop for a red traffic light” and hit the school bus in the middle of the intersection. A 35 year old woman driving the Jeep was injured in the crash. A 1-year-old juvenile passenger was not injured. The driver of the Jeep was charged by the THP with due care. The THP said the bus driver was not injured and he faces no charges.
