TDOT: I-81/I-26 ramp will be closed this weekend

The Tennessee Department of Transportation says that a ramp at the I-81/I-26 interchange will be closed Friday evening through Monday morning for road construction. TDOT says starting at 7 p.m. Friday, the off-ramp from I-26 West to I-81 South at Exit 8A toward Knoxville will be closed. I-26 West traffic heading to I-81 South will be directed to the Exit 6 Rock Springs Road exit for the detour. The ramp closure will be in place until 6 a.m. on Monday morning. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution in the area as workers will be present.
