Police: Bristol mother of three left kids home alone starting at sundown

A Bristol, Virginia mother of three is in jail after a neighbor found the children unattended.

A report from city police said Kendel Fortner, 20, had left her kids, ages 5, 2 and 8 months, alone from Tuesday evening until Wednesday morning. Those juveniles were taken from the home by state social services personnel then each one was released to their respective fathers.

Fortner was charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and after further review of the incident was cited for felony abuse and neglect of children.
