UPDATE: Graveyard vandal facing 17 criminal counts

Virginia State Police are filing charges against a Bristol, Tennessee man after he caused thousands of dollars in damage to an Abingdon graveyard.

Seth Williams, 31, now faces 17 counts of injury to a cemetery after investigators said he entered Forest Hills Memorial Gardens and drove over gravesites and plowed up plots of grass early Thursday.

State Police are estimating his damages at more than $10,000. Williams was arrested and taken to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail. The case remains under investigation.
