NETN population consistently grows again
Northeast Tennessee’s population has grown at a similar pace to the previous year in 2024-2025, with the region adding an estimated 3,418 people and Washington County’s population has surpassed 140,000 for the first time. The NETN region now has a population of 532,283 people according to the annual estimate, as of July 1, 2025, from the U.S. Census Bureau. The NETN region has added an estimated 21,531 people in five years which represents 4.2% in population growth. The last time the region grew at this pace was from 1990-2000.
