Tuition set, tenure awarded to 56 staff at ETSU with Board of Trustees vote
ETSU’s Board of Trustees approved a 4 percent hike in tuition costs for students beginning in the fall semester.
The average cost for full-time courses is now $11,468 for the 2026-27 school year. That figure falls in line with Tennessee’s average college cost and according to a school statement, addresses rising costs along with funding paychecks for 56 instructors whose tenure at the Johnson City school was approved by the board.
ETSU’s Gatton College of Pharmacy will have student tuition drop by 10 percent beginning this year after a recurring $3.2 million was approved by the General Assembly.
In-state attendees have experienced a 35 percent drop in cost since 2023, according to the report.
