Murder suspect from South Carolina arrested in Boone
An automated license plate reader helped police in neighboring Boone, North Carolina track down one of the three suspects accused in a South Carolina murder last month.
The device’s camera scanned the plate of the vehicle reportedly used by 20-year-old Raimon St. John Campbell, giving police information on Campbell’s whereabouts. He was positively identified and taken into custody at the Watauga County Recreation Center on Complex Drive.
Campbell was named a suspect in the June 26th murder of 21-year-old Jordan Rouse, whose body was found on a street in Simpsonville. The two other suspects, Nylan Harris and Zavion Cherry, were already taken into custody, according to published reports.
