NWS confirms EF0 tornado touchdown in Greene County in July
The first tornado in three years that was based in Greene County has been confirmed by the National Weather Service in Morristown.
The weather event was determined to be an EF0 tornado that touched down on July 28th with winds at an estimated 95 miles per hour.
Data released last month showed the tornado developed near the North Carolina border. The tornado’s path was 1.5 miles long while it measured 300 yards across, according to the report.
