Gunshot from outside Rice Terrace enters apartment and injures resident

Several residents in the Rice Terrace apartment complex reported hearing gunshots Saturday morning, grazing one resident with a bullet on his shoulder blade.

The Bristol Virginia Police Department report said neighbors heard arguing behind building 780 prior to the shots just before 5:30 am. A black male driving a dark-colored SUV drove away from the area shortly after.

Officers saw a shot had gone through a backdoor and into the wall of the victim’s apartments while recovering a bullet casing behind the complex.
