New Marion Hungry Mothers baseball team begins season

The region’s newest summer collegiate baseball team hit the diamond for its first-ever home opener on Monday. The Marion Hungry Mothers‘ inaugural season began on Saturday at an away game against the Carolina Disco Turkeys, where they won 11-4. The teams battled again Monday at Marion’s home field, Hurricane Stadium, where the Hungry Mothers fell to the Disco Turkeys 13-0.
