Man arrested after domestic violence call in Jonesborough

A Johnson City man is in custody following a domestic violence investigation.

James Lewis Shuff III, 27, faces one count of aggravated domestic assault following the incident at a home on Saylor Road in Joneborough. The county report said officers could hear Shuff threatening someone inside the home when they arrived. The victim told deputies that Shuff wrapped both hands around her neck and threw her into a closet.

Shuff is being held without bond.
