JCPD searching for Sunday morning shooting suspect

The Johnson City Police Department has issued a warrant for 25 year old Raekwon Grimes of Johnson City on charges of aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. Grimes is described as having a tattoo on the left side of his neck with the words “the world is yours.” Officers discovered a victim at 4 am Sunday morning in a parking lot in the 500 block of N State of Franklin Rd. with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition. Anyone with information on Grimes’ whereabouts is urged to contact the JCPD Criminal Investigations Division or Crime Stoppers.
