TN Gov. Lee convenes special session to review congressional map
Governor Bill Lee will convene a special legislative session of the Tennessee General Assembly to “formally review the state’s congressional map.” This comes after Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn publicly called for the same to redraw maps in favor of an all Republican redistricting of the Volunteer State. President Donald Trump has called on Tennessee officials to revisit the state’s districts, saying in a Truth Social post Thursday that he spoke with Gov. Bill Lee and pointed to what he called an “unconstitutional flaw” in the current map. The special session will begin Tuesday, May 5, according to the governor’s announcement.
