JC Parks and Recreation announce June 8 for Rotary Park opening
Johnson City Parks and Recreation officials say that the playground and splash pad at Rotary Park will remain closed through June 7 while turf replacement continues. Officials say that weather has impacted the timeline for installing the new turf and that the goal is to have both the playground and splash pad on June 8. If residents are looking for a place to cool off, officials note that The Kenneth “Herb” Greenlee Splash Pad at Carver Recreation Center on W. Watauga Avenue is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
