KPD searching for second degree murder suspect considered armed and dangerous
The Kingsport Police Department is searching for a man on Tuesday who is charged with second-degree murder. The release from the KPD said 37 year old Levi Carter was named the suspect in an alleged homicide investigation that began late Monday night. Police identified Carter as a White male who is 5’11” and 220 lbs. and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt. He may be driving an older model red Ford F-150 pickup truck with Tennessee tags. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous and if seen to please call 9-1-1 immediately and do not attempt to stop, engage, or otherwise approach him. Anyone with information on Carter’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kingsport Central Dispatch or the Criminal Investigations Division.
