Dolly Parton announces new Broadway musical

Dolly Parton has announced a musical of her life’s story will be coming to Broadway this winter. Her new musical Dolly: A True Original Musical, will open Monday, December 7 on Broadway with an opening night celebration on Dolly’s 81st birthday January 19. The musical, directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher, features Parton’s most beloved hits as well as new songs. The musical will be playing exclusively on Broadway at the St. James Theatre in New York. Tickets go on sale for fans at 10 a.m. July 8 online, with general sales July 10.
