Bristol VA approves special use permit ordinance for data centers

The Bristol, Virginia City Council unanimously approved an ordinance requiring data centers to apply for a special use permit before opening in the city. The ordinance changes zoning language, restricting where data centers can open, and requires the special use permit to be applied for. The ordinance takes effect in 30 days.
