Joe Gibbs Racing loads Kyle Busch tribute Toyota for emotional Bristol run
The photo mosaic wrapped around a Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota features images through the years, both professional and personal, although some of the prints do not show the gruff, determined faces Kyle Busch made at Bristol Motor Speedway.
It was announced last month that JGR would place the paint scheme on Ty Gibbs’ number 54 Camry as a tribute to the track’s all-time winningest driver across three of NASCAR major divisions who died in May.
The design is also dressed in Kyle’s familiar M&Ms yellow that he rode to wins and NASCAR Cup Series championships.
The track and teams are also inviting fans to pay homage to Busch with the free yellow towels featuring Kyle’s signature being distributed on race day and waving them as the cars go around the half-mile for the Bass Pro Shops night race on Saturday at lap 18.
The report for JGR noted Kyle’s two children and wife Samantha were the first to see the finished car at their headquarters in North Carolina.
