Man charged in July Johnson City gas station standoff granted a psychiatric exam
A man accused of holding a gas station clerk hostage during a standoff in Johnson City in July has now been granted a psychiatric exam.
According to court documents in Greeneville, Marc Skeen appeared Wednesday for a motion hearing, and a judge granted a request made for Skeen to be evaluated. Skeen’s case moved to federal court in October, and he currently faces charges that includes interference with commerce by threat or violence, and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. No date has been set on when the psychiatric exam will take place.
