Childcare providers in the state of Virginia are warning parents to be advised of a virus that is rapidly spreading among children.
Cases of hand, foot and mouth disease have been on the rise in recent weeks.
The viral illness most commonly infects children under the age of 5, but everyone is suscpetible. Symptoms of the illnes include fever, fatigue, a rash in the mouth, on the palms of soles, and sometimes painful sores.
