Groundbreaking held for Pure Salmon’s SW Virginia plant

Officials with the Pure Salmon company held a groundbreaking ceremony in Tazewell County for their $228 million facility that will create 200 jobs.

The portfolio company that has headquarters in London and New York announced in November plans to locate in Southwest Virginia with one of the largest economic financial investments in the region’s history.

Pure Salmon plans to become one of the largest producers on the East Coast with their aquaculture facility that they plan to open in 2023 on more than 200 acres located across from Southwest Virginia Community College.
