UT Vols ranked 18th in preseason coaches poll

As the college football season approaches, the Tennessee Volunteers have landed a spot in the preseason coaches poll for the fourth consecutive season. The Preseason Coaches poll, a set of rankings determined by 62 head coaches, was released on Monday with the Vols coming at No. 18. Tennessee is one of nine SEC schools in the preseason edition of the poll, including upcoming season rivals No. 4 Georgia, No. 8 Alabama and No. 17 Florida. Syracuse, who Tennessee will face in the season opener, did not appear in the top 25. The Associated Press Preseason Top 25 will be released next Monday.
