Sullivan County couple charged with murder in overdose death

A Tennessee couple accused of supplying the lethal dose of narcotics to an overdose victim in August of 2024 in Sullivan County has been indicted by a grand jury.

David and Christy Scott, 47, are charged with second degree murder plus delivery and possession of schedule II drugs, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

David Scott has been jailed since last month on unrelated charges while Christy Scott was arrested on Tuesday.
