More than 75 animals saved in Hawkins County

Animal rescuers in Hawkins County saved more than 75 animals. Hawkins County Humane Society officials say they found 65 dogs and at least ten cats and kittens in deplorable conditions. Puppies were reportedly piled on top of one another in a tub, struggling to get air. Humane Society leaders say the owner has agreed to relinquish all animals and to not obtain more. The Humane Society, A to Z Animal Rescue, and others are seeking assistance looking for adopters, rescues and donors.
