Task force to be created to find buyers for old Jonesborough Middle School property

The Washington County, Tennessee Board of Education voted to create a task force to find buyers for the old Jonesborough Middle School. The old middle school and the plot of land in front of the old Jonesborough Elementary School have been on the market for two years. The task force will consist of six people from the school board, the Town of Jonesborough, and the Washington County Commission. The board has looked at several different options to sell the property, which spans a little over eight acres. Any profit made from the sale of the school and the land is expected to go towards capital projects within the county school system.
