THP releases revised report on Elizabethton police cruiser-bicycle accident

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released a revised report on a crash in Elizabethton involving a bicyclist and a cruiser. The crash happened Monday when an Elizabethton Police Department cruiser on East F Street attempted to turn left onto East Doe Avenue and hit a man on a bicycle, according to the THP’s initial crash report. The 54-year-old cyclist was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Thursday, the highway patrol issued a revised crash report, which included additional details. No charges are pending against either the officer or the bicyclist.
